There's about 192324234738945 penciled pieces moaning and bitching on my lightbox as I speak. And linearts in my hard disk. It's irritating to leave half-assed work about the place, but I just can't get the time to finish it! I wonder if others go through this, or am I just a born procrastinator. *stabs self*
Current projects I've been messing around with. Disney's Alice and Hellsing sketch on the left. Intrgra and Girly!card probably not recognizable due to fanartist's liberties with their clothes. *blush*

Made my day, it did.
Shut it, PETA. I own a furry little shit myself, for crying out loud.. This is too great to not share. No bunnies were harmed during the making of this. I think. Thumbs up for casting the pissy old lady!
I hope in the near future there’ll be a series of Roadkill Kids, only replacing the bunnies with toddlers. Awesome, innit? |

I want to wish everyone here on LJ Land a Happy Happy 2007, and may the new year bring us more love, joy, and all things delicious.
I may not post often, but my mind still often wanders back to you guys and thoughts about what everyone here is doing. It's been an eventful year for me, both in the good and bad ways. I graduated, the passing of my grandfather, found a job as an illustrator like I dreamt of 5 years ago though it was purely manga illustrations I was imagining back then, but I shall not grumble. For now. and, yeah, an ongoing love-hate affair with Hellsing.
Happy 2007, and I wish you all a fantastic new year!

'You Know My Name' by Chris Cornell, Casino Royale Theme
Like a million other 007 movie-goers, I was skeptical about the new Blonde Bond.
Like any other James Bond film, I stepped into the cinema expecting Gadgets and Girls Galore. And one horny spy.
My first and foremost reason for watching 3rd remake of this installment was because the title sounded 'so damn cool'.
Casino Royale blew me away.
The 007 here was more raw, more real and more humane than the usual King of Ice and sexual innuendoes. It showed how 007 became the 007 and contained just the right amount of humor, wit, brutality and sensuality. Just like a Vesper Martini. Eva Green once again awed me with her beautiful smoky eyes and an air of elegance present since Kingdom of Heaven. Mads Mikkelsen, in my opinion, made a fabulous villain in Le Chiffre. He looked rather dashing clad in a tuxedo even though he was asthmatic and nursing the occasional bleeding eye</s>. The torture scene had me cringing, and I'm not even a guy. It made the previous 20 Bond movie tortures look like a tea-party.
I hereby rescind initial unfair judgement passed onto Mr. Daniel Craig as the latest Bond. He may not be suave-like-Brosnan, but he sure as hell will not hesitate to get down and dirty when push comes to shove. |

Went to catch PoTC: Dead Man's Chest at 2 in the morning on the 14th and it was a FULL HOUSE. Thank god the ticket seller gave us the best seats, right in the centre. I will be catching it again with another bunch of friends. Just because.
This one seemed funnier than the last and, well, felt more like a transition then anything. I suppose it was building up for the big bang it better be! at the end. And what's it with Singapore? They mentioned it in both movies, so why aren't they all here?? Does Singapore have some 'piratey reputation' like Tortuga? If so why don't I see any of them pirates here at Clifford Pier, or Singapore River, or the Causeway....damn.
The CGI for Davy Jones and his crew was gorgeous, but somehow Bill Turner's look appealed to me the most. I thought he was pretty cool in his barnacled black coat. But Barbosa's growl still pwns it all. Oh, and undead monkey as well. Tia looks like Jack, don't you think? Teeth, hair, kind of wacky. The way she purred Jack's name when she saw him..*shivers*
All in all, I still enjoyed it loads, getting the soundtrack from Borders next week. "The Kraken" track is really good. From the last scene. ;_;
wonders if it will be Jack x Elizabeth in the end? Not because of the kiss, more of the compass. |

Another chibi affair. While the HP one was easy to complete, I can't say the same for Hellsing. *colours furiously* Soon, soon! Only about, say, 10 more to go?
